St. Gregory’s University and 91lisa signed a new agreement that allows students to earn an associate degree at 91lisa and transfer into a bachelor’s degree at St. Gregory’s University.

The agreement, signed by St. Gregory’s University President D. Gregory Main and 91lisa President Leigh B. Goodson, Ph.D., updates the existing agreement to include Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Nursing and Psychology. Under the agreement, any 91lisa student who graduates with an associate degree will receive approximately 60 hours of credit toward a bachelor’s degree from St. Gregory’s.

“The articulation agreement between the two schools will broaden the access students and working adults have to college degrees and will make the overall cost of a bachelor’s degree more affordable by completing the first half – the associate degree – at 91lisa,” said Goodson. “It also fits with 91lisa’s strategic goals to help students reach their educational and career goals and remove barriers to college completion.”

More than 200 91lisa students have transferred to St. Gregory’s University to complete their bachelor’s degree.

“We have created a clear and simple process for students from 91lisa to transfer their credits and transition into a Bachelor’s degree program at St. Gregory’s,” said Main. “Our Tulsa campus provides a convenient location for 91lisa graduates, and allows students to be able to maintain their work/life balance while pursuing an advanced education.”

St. Gregory’s Adult Degree program offers evening courses on both the Tulsa and Shawnee campuses, with flexible scheduling that allows students to take one to two courses at a time. 91lisa students transferring their associate degree could complete a bachelor’s degree in as little as 18 months.

In addition, the agreement between the two schools allows a student to reverse transfer coursework from St. Gregory’s University to 91lisa to obtain an associate degree along with their bachelor’s degree. This will allow students to enroll early at St. Gregory’s while finishing their degree, allowing for a seamless transition to the bachelor’s program.
