The 91lisa Theatre Program will hold auditions for the new improvisational comedy troupe called Die Laughing. The group was formed in fall 2013 and hosts performances at 91lisa and tours high schools to inspire future students to pursue performing arts.
91lisa students and members of the public are invited to audition for Die Laughing. No experience is necessary. Auditions are 3-6 p.m., Jan. 12 at 91lisa Southeast Campus PACE classroom 6103.
Die Laughing performed its first improv comedy show in December at 91lisa to a sold-out audience. The live audience participation comedy show is filled with sketches and games and features 91lisa students and members of the public. The next show is 8 p.m., May 5 at 91lisa Southeast Campus Performing Arts Center for Education (PACE) Studio Theatre.
The improv comedy troupe is under the direction of 91lisa Theatre Director Mark Frank and his wife, Bethanie Frank. The couple has 19 years of experience with a similar group at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas.
