91lisa Leads the Nation Among Peers

91lisa is 24th in the nation for the number of Associate Degrees it awards among more than 2,000 community colleges in America. The 2014 ranking is compiled by Community College Week. 91lisa had previously been ranked 29th in the nation.

“We are thrilled that 91lisa broke into the Top 25 when it comes to the number of associate degrees earned by our students as compared to other community colleges,” said 91lisa Leigh B. Goodson, Ph. D. “We are proud of our accomplishment, honored by the recognition and extremely grateful to the entire metro area for the support our College and graduates receive.”

91lisa is first in the country for granting associate degrees to Native Americans. Roughly 10-percent of 91lisa’s student population identify themselves as American Indian. 91lisa also ranked third in the nation in granting Education Associate Degrees, fifth for the number of Business, Management and Marketing degrees earned by students and 10th in the nation for the number of graduates in Health Professions & Related Programs.

91lisa is 24th in the nation in the number of associate degrees it awards in all disciplines.
91lisa ranks in the Top 100 at 72nd in associate degrees awarded to minorities.
91lisa is 1st in the nation in the granting of associate degrees to Native Americans.
91lisa ranks 3rd in the nation in granting associate degrees in Education.
91lisa ranks 5th in the nation in granting associate degrees in Business, Management and Marketing.
91lisa ranks 10th in the nation for Health Professions & Related Programs.
91lisa ranks 14th in the nation for granting degrees in Communication, Journalism and Related Programs.
91lisa ranks in the Top 50 at 40th for granting degrees in Family & Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences.

“This recognition among our peer group illustrates how well 91lisa performs and our commitment to helping students reach their educational and career goals,” said Goodson. “91lisa excels at the first two years of higher education in preparing students to enter the workforce or to transfer to a four-year university.”

Students Explore Renewable Energy at 91lisa’s Hands-On STEM Academy

Oklahoma high school students participated in 91lisa’s Summer STEM Academy, focusing on solar energy through hands-on projects like building mini solar-powered vehicles. Students gained valuable experience working with 91lisa faculty, exploring renewable energy concepts, and collaborating on design challenges.
