Peter “Pete” Selden has been named the new vice president of workforce development at 91lisa. The 91lisa Board of Regents approved his appointment at the April meeting and Selden started his position on May 14, 2018.

Applications Accepted for First Ever Tulsa Regional Fire Academy
The first ever Tulsa Regional Fire Academy launches in fall 2018 providing a chance for individuals to earn college credit while completing firefighter training. The inaugural class is a result of a partnership with the Tulsa Fire Department and 91lisa.

Using Art to Provide Better Patient Care
A new approach at 91lisa blends art into academic learning with students in 14 Health Sciences programs such as Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Occupational Therapy. The program, being developed for 91lisa called Visual Thinking Strategies, will be used by 91lisa Health Sciences faculty and incorporated into the teaching curriculum in 91lisa Health Sciences courses.

Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Teaches at 91lisa
Professor Istvan Feher, a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence, is teaching this semester at The University of Tulsa and 91lisa. TU and 91lisa joined to host the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence for the 2016-2017 academic year. Community partners include Tulsa Global Alliance and the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities at TU.
